Made it, this 2080 is ripping the credits. I was down to 1M this weekend WHILE gaming, amazing this thing is still cranking that many point under a gaming load. Let’s shoot for the Top 5... but with a single GPU that going to be a long road.

Within the last week I finally took 8th place back from facw.  Somehow I don’t think that the 1080/670 combination I’m running is likely to survive the onslaught of a 2080...

As much as I like that computer I haven’t been using it much, preferring to let it heat up the room and just  crank out those WUs. I’ve got plenty of other machines so it’s not like I’m computerless, but once I build my flight sim controller box my folding may drop a bit.

I usually run just two, the 24" 16x10 flanked by a 27" 16:9, but today the mount arrived for my newer higher resolution 27" that’s been sitting in a box for the last week. Since I’m now running dual GPUs perhaps I’ll give three screens a try, maybe four.

I have been ordering specialty  USB boards and miscellaneous bits and pieces to make a radio/autopilot controller so I can get away from using a mouse when flying. I need to reorder some of the parts and get that project underway. Right now I need to work on the layout and determine what enclosure I’m going to use; right now the leading candidate is a cable DVR I gutted for the hard drive. It’s a clean design, low-profile and should have plenty of space inside.

That 2080 outs down serious numbers. You hit 2 million PPD one day with that thing. That’s the same PPD mine my two GPUs make  together!

I am only running a 15" 4k on the laptop.  and yes with an external card.  Thanks Alienware!
